Does anyone Care about Basketball?

Does anyone care about basketball no and days, because i sure dont. I think the sport has gone downhill since Jordan retired for the third time and i dont see it every becoming a big sport once again. It gets more recognition internationally than it does in the states. Players like kobe, shaq, lebron, anthony, ect have killed the sport. Basketball used to be a team sport now it evovles around one person. When you have someone putting up 81 points in one game and ppg is around 50 then houston we have a problem. The sport is boring and the players who get drafted are not even out of college/went to college and are from another country. The game used to be about controlling the ball and speed, now its about how tall you are and how hard you can dunk. I dont know how this change happened but i dont like it one bit, I want the old basketball back when you had players like ewing, jordan, pippen, and rodman. But as of now while the game is still young old retired players want to come back. That's just what basketball needs at a time like this old washed up players who can barely run up and down the court, they should just do everyone a favor and dismantle the sport because im getting tired of hearing about kobe wanting to be traded or refs betting on games. The sport just has no meanig anymore.

I love watching basketball, b/c of those players. For the most part, with the exception of old old basketball, teams have always focused on one player. Wilt the Stilt didn't break records by being a team player, he was a stud athlete who took advantage of his height and athleticism. Most sports now a days, are focused on only 1 or 2 players as team stars anyways.

I agree with basketball not being like it was when Jordan and everyone else played. It was more of a team game because there was a lot of passing to find the open person. Now it's all about one person who always drives down the middle of the paint looking for a foul or a dunk. However I don't think they should get rid of the NBA because if that was the case for every sport, we wouldn't have any professional leagues.

Yes, I replied something similar in another student's blog. Sports writers are complaining about just what you said---the game is slow, and the stars can't play as a team. International teams are creaming our "teams."

College basketball is the only Basketball worth watching. The player are still playing for the love of the game, and the excitment is there. I mean professional basketball doesn't even know what a fastbreak is any more. Its pathetic.
