New Skippers in Town
The New York Yankees and Los Angeles Dodgers welcomed new skippers to manage there ball clubs this week. For the yankees it was a no brainer to see who would get the job but i was very surprised that joe torre is going to be the new manager of the dodgers. See i thought that wehn torre declined the yankees offer that he wouldn't manage again but as everyone can see i was wrong. I think torre is a good fit in LA, but will he get any followers from the yankees, lets say rivera or posada? I dont know if the dodgers need those players but both are free agents and both are loyal players to torre. Giradi is an excellent manager in my opinion even if he did only have one year with the marlins, but if you see what he had to work with on that club than you almost wonder can Joe Girardi bring another world series to the bronx or can Joe Torre bring a world series title back to california? It's going to be interesting to see if maybe next year it will be a joe v joe world series. Also what will happen to mattingly? It has been reported that he has left the yankees and is probably persueing a job as manager is this a good idea for don and if so where do you think he might end up?
